Booking terms

These terms apply when you book Glashaus directly on glashausresort.com. Glashaus is a vacation rental in Angels Camp, California, owned and hosted by Sara Cooper and James Beyersdorf ("we" and "us"). By completing a booking, you agree to these terms.

What you're booking

A private stay at Glashaus, a 20-foot glass geodesic dome for up to 2 guests, with a private bath, private deck, soaking tub, fire table and The Perch, a covered outdoor kitchen. The dome sits on about 20 private acres with views of New Melones Lake. The property does not have direct access to the lake.

Prices and payment

• All prices are in US dollars (USD).
• Nightly rates are $475 for Sunday through Thursday nights and $499 for Friday and Saturday nights.
• There is no cleaning fee and no booking fee.
• Calaveras County transient occupancy tax (12%) is added at checkout and shown before you pay.
• You pay the full amount when you book. Payments are processed by Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus any other payment methods Stripe offers at checkout.
• Your dates are held for up to 30 minutes while you complete checkout. Your booking is confirmed once payment goes through, and we email you a confirmation.

Cancellation and refund policy

To cancel, text or email us using the contact details below. We'll confirm the cancellation in writing. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

If we ever have to cancel your stay, for example because the property becomes unsafe or unavailable, we will refund you in full.

Want to change your dates? Contact us. If new dates are open, we'll move your booking and charge or refund the difference.

Check-in and check-out

• Check-in is from 3 pm with a self check-in code. Check-out is by 11 am.
• We'll text you the address, gate details and your door code a few days before you arrive.

House rules

• Up to 2 guests. Only registered guests may stay overnight.
• No pets.
• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property.
• Follow any fire restrictions in effect. The fireplace and fire table may be unavailable during fire season or burn bans.
• Please treat the dome, furnishings and land with care, and leave them as you found them.

Damage

You're responsible for damage to the property caused by you or your guests during your stay, beyond normal wear. If something breaks, please tell us right away. We may charge the card used for the booking for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, and we'll send you photos and receipts first.

Safety and the outdoors

Glashaus sits on a natural ridge with uneven ground, rock outcroppings and outdoor steps. The soaking tub, fire table, swing and outdoor kitchen are used at your own risk. Please use care, especially after dark. The glass dome warms in the sun and cools at night, so indoor temperature follows the weather.

Weather and things outside our control

We can't control weather, smoke, power outages, road conditions or other events outside our control. If one of them means the property can't be used safely, we'll work with you on new dates or a refund for the nights affected.
